Job description
As a Legal Associate for our hospitality company, you will play a vital role in providing legal
support and guidance to ensure the company's operations are conducted in compliance with
relevant laws and regulations. You will work closely with the legal team, management, and
various departments to address legal issues, mitigate risks, and contribute to the success of
our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Review and Drafting:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, leases,service agreements, and partnership agreements.
- Ensure contracts adhere to legal and company standards, highlighting potential risks and
- suggesting amendments when necessary.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor and stay up-to-date with relevant local, state, and central regulations that impact the
- hospitality industry.
- Assist in ensuring the company's compliance with laws related to licensing, health and safety,
- data protection, and other industry-specific regulations.
Risk Management:
- Identify legal risks associated with business decisions and provide actionable
- recommendations to mitigate those risks.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement risk management strategies.
Litigation Support:
- Collaborate with external legal counsel on ongoing litigation matters, including gathering
- relevant documents, information, and preparing necessary responses.
- Assist in preparing legal documents for court filings, hearings, and settlements.
- Intellectual Property:
- Assist in protecting the company's intellectual property rights, including trademarks,
- copyrights, and patents.
- Conduct searches to identify potential trademark conflicts and assist with registration
- processes.
Corporate Governance:
- Assist in maintaining accurate corporate records, filings, and compliance with corporate
- governance requirements.
- Support the legal team in preparing for board meetings and other governance-related
- activities.
- Research and Analysis:
- Conduct legal research on various topics to support the legal team's decision-making process
- and to stay current with legal developments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Law or a related field.Â
- 1-2 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in the hospitality, real estate, or related
- industry.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
