Cloud Solution Architect
At Kshema, we are re-imagining agricultural insurance with the power of Public Cloud, GIS, Remote sensing and cutting-edge AI-based algorithms to assess, model and price insurance risks for farmers adequately. We are taking the latest advances in Mobile, Geospatial technologies and the web to empower the next generation of agricultural insurance. Responsibilities: Work closely with Senior leadership in business and Technology, Product Owners, Business Analysts, System Architects, Solution Engineers and other cross-product technology teams to understand the existing solutions, new requirements and formulate newer architecture options Design, Architect and then support the implementation of cloud solutions taking the network, compute, storage, monitoring and security requirements into consideration. Recommend solution to internal/external stakeholders clearly articulating the pros and cons of various solutions Provide guidance and mentoring for team members and review their deliverables for quality and thoroughness Proactively communicate the Program/project managers by Identifying, mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues, assumptions throughout full lifecycle Review and assess implementation approach for various product features, potential risks, costs, etc Evaluate and recommend vendor/third party solutions for applicable business problems Qualifications: Bachelor's degree level or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science or similar discipline 10 - 15 years of hands-on experience working on designing, developing, and implementing largescale data-oriented software systems Good understanding of the solution architecture patterns. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot and other server side technologies Proficiency in RDBMS, Big Data Organization, and modern data storage (cloud) concepts. Some proficiency in SQL programming that enables better design for data stores and data extraction Solid experience working in a cloud environment such as Azure or AWS is a must Experience with Azure DevOps, Containerization, K8S based deployments, CI/CD Pipelines is a plus Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies Knowledge of the Insurance Domain, Financial Industry is a strong plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an enthusiasm to work in a Global, Diverse and Multi-cultural environment You will be a great fit in the team if: You’ve got positive energy.
