Position Overview:
The Himalayan Institution of Management is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Director. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, academic leadership, and administrative oversight to ensure the overall success and growth of the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
- Develop and implement academic policies and programs in line with the guidelines set by Himachal Pradesh University.
- Foster a culture of academic excellence and innovation among faculty and students.
- Ensure the effective delivery of curriculum, keeping it relevant to industry trends and demands.
Administrative Oversight:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the institution, including admissions, examinations, and student affairs.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures in accordance with university norms.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for faculty, staff, and students.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the long-term growth and development of the institution.
- Identify opportunities for expansion, collaborations, and partnerships to enhance the institution's standing.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement measures for continuous improvement in the quality of education and services.
Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community, industry partners, and alumni.
- Represent the institution at relevant forums and events.
Financial Management:
- Oversee the financial health of the institution, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support the institution's initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in a management institution.
- Administrative experience, preferably as a Head of Department or in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of and adherence to the norms and guidelines set by Himachal Pradesh University.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.
