Job description
Position Summary:
The Area Sales Manager, Pune is responsible for developing new business
opportunities to market and sell company products in domestic and global industries ie in
Automotive/Pharma/Packaging etc . He/she will be responsible for developing and maintaining
relationships with customers and partners. He/she will be responsible for achievement of DESTACO sales initiatives and targeted growth rates, providing technical proposals and sales support for successful customer integration and implementation of established organization products.
The ASM, reports to the Sales Manager, and will be based out of a home office in Pune (Or in Pune office-Future). The position requires the ability to work and communicate globally and virtually with Sales Manager, Customers, and Channel Partners.
Key Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Detailing products with complete presentation package to the clients to achieve sales targets.
- To analyze and forecast demand in the territory ensuring growth in all product groups with complete satisfaction to the customers
- Target setting and review of each area and exploitation of new territories for increasing business
- New product introduction & product mapping based on Market Survey to increase market share. Especially Smart Clamps & all other New products based on Smart technology.
- To attend to customers on-site installation & service requirement, troubleshoot when necessary and co-ordinate with factory for additional support as & when required.
- Builds relationships with centers-of-influence within key accounts to grow the business of Global key Accounts.
- Develops and implements sales initiatives to achieve targeted growth rates. Communicates with
- Market Management and traditional DESTACO sales network to ensure well-coordinated execution of sales and marketing initiatives.
- Establish a strategic direction sales growth in the region with supporting objectives, plans, and action items to achieve the strategic goals.
- Communicates with sales team, engineering, customer service and technical support to communicate and resolve customer concerns, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Where appropriate develop distributors and resellers and formulate programs that build loyalty and trust with the customers
- Maintain high level relationships, and assure that each distributor represents the DESTACO brand to their best of their ability.
- Personally establish high level contacts with the Automotive/Automation OEM's and key accounts offices in India.
- Make end-users calls to support sales efforts of accounts/distribution and to learn about
- sales/quality/application issues of product.
- Provide timely communication with supervisor and/or management – including monthly and other reports - on all events in the market place that could affect the company, including competitive issues, product quality, and/or service issues.
- Promote and execute marketing plans, sales tools, new products, and other company programs to corresponding channels and/or users.
- Conduct product training in the field as necessary and ensure that customers, distributors, etc receive product training at national meetings, scheduled meetings, etc as needed.
- Monthly reporting and tracking of projects and opportunities in salesforce
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
Experience:
· At least 10-12 years field sales experience in Sales & Marketing of Industrial Products (like
Pneumatics, Sensors, Clamps, indexers, Electrical actuators & drives etc) in the Automotive, Packaging, Automation &
Pharmaceutical, Engineering Industries OEMs and End users
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to understand technical products and effectively present to customers and management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including facilitation, verbal, and written skills
- Ability to visualize and understand mechanical solutions
- Self-starter, self-motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision
- High energy, strong interpersonal skills
- Understand and willing to change with the needs of the customer and markets
- Ability to work in teams maintaining a high level of communication and interaction
- Experience working cross-culturally is a plus
- Leadership quality with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Should be a go-getter capable of operating independently without supervision
Education and Certification Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Instrumentation or Electrical is preferred
