Assistant Manager/Senior Executive- Sales & Marketing:
Location - Kolkata
Job Type - Full Time
We are looking for experienced Sales & Marketing personnel who will be responsible for developing and fostering business through proactive direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and visits. Also develops strategic action plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue and identify areas of opportunity in performance and recommend tools and sales training to optimize performance of the sales team.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Kolkata metropolitan area for a Sales Marketing Manager. The Sales Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive business growth. They will plan and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and support sales efforts. The Sales Marketing Manager will also partner with the sales team to generate leads and close deals.
- Responsible for Corporate, OTA and Travel Agent Room and F&B Sales for the hotel.
- Clear understanding of the hotel's business strategies to set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
- Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
- Conduct daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
- Provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long term business relationships.
- Participate in sales calls with members of the sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
- Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g. CVGR, generating proposal, Corporate Rate Application letter, writing contract, customer correspondence).
- Support Hotel's service and relationship strategy, driving loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each guest experience.
- Work closely with the General Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
- Develop strong relationships with the Front Office team to ensure working in unity.
- Accompany sales team on sales calls to potential clients to assist in development of the account and to assess the effectiveness and sales skills of the sales person.
- Attend all department and hotel meetings as necessary.
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
- Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Acquire and develop new business accounts and prepare sales proposals for clients.
- Closely follow up on all business leads within a 24 hour response time line to clients.
Experience:
4 to 5 years experience in sales and marketing in Hotels.
Prerequisites:
Must have experience in Hotel Room & F&B Sales
Must have worked in Kolkata region
Qualifications
- 3 year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.
- Sales and Marketing experience in the Education or Hospitality industries
- Experience with digital marketing, including social media, email and web campaigns
- Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis and reporting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies
- Collaborative team player with ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
- Fluency in English is required, knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Experience working in a multicultural and international environment preferred
