Job description

Education Requirements: Master's degree in accounting/CA/CPA/CFA or B.Com with strong practical experience in accounting & reconciliations for more than 15 years of experience.

Work Experience Requirements: 12 to 15 years of related experience. Must have leadership skills and prior experience of leading & setting up complex processes. Must have good decision-making qualities.

Responsibilities

Leading a team 15-20 people in the finance & accounting. Dealing with the client, understand their expectations and deliver in time. Creating various presentations, management reports and frameworks.

Role Specific Skills

Expert level understanding of reconciling the general ledger accounts, calculating appropriate adjustments and provisions and booking them to the ledger, performing intercompany netting, intercompany reconciliations, and preparing relevant financial reports.

Ability to understand the significance of various activities in a statutory/GAAP accounting close cycle and deliver results accordingly.

Insurance accounting experience and US GAAP or IFRS knowledge mandatory.

Ability to deliver value working on various activities in statutory/Gaap accounting close cycle and deliver results accordingly.

Technical/Soft Skills

Leadership & Effective Communicaiton Skills

Excellent Presentation Skills

Advanced skills in MS Office

Experience in Oracle/SAP/Blackline

Extensive knowledge of insurance and Insurance Finance
