The R&D Executive will provide support on the technical product development for assigned innovation projects for the Harpic and Lysol Innovation Team. RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES Utilize formulation development skills and technical expertise to develop new products, technologies, and benefits to address relevant consumer needs in support of brand initiatives. Read, understand, and apply relevant SOP / ISO protocols with regards to data generation for submission to Global/Local Regulatory/Legal teams and external agencies. Proper operation, standardization & maintenance of lab equipment. Recording and maintaining laboratory notebooks following GDP Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques for working at the bench, understanding of chemistry, surfactant, or related science. Ability to interpret results from lab tests, conduct performance and analysis evaluations of competitive products. Maintain inventory and order items when needed. Interface with key partners and stakeholders (supply, regulatory, quality and marketing) to achieve defined goals and objectives. Be aware, accountable for environment, health and safety in workplace all time to ensure accident free & good working environment. Maintain good housekeeping in lab and storage areas all the time. Undertake product development projects covering ASEAN and China region under lavatory care for Brand Harpic PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE A minimum bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or masters in sciences (Chemistry or Pharmaceutical) Minimum 2-3 years of experience in developing products under surface and/or lavatory care is desirable. Good Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in team including cross functional interactions with project teams involving members from Marketing, Supply, Quality, Manufacturing etc. Strong formulation expertise and understanding of raw material chemical interactions. Good oral communication skills to effectively provide feedback to project teams or immediate supervisor. Good written communication skills for accurate data entry and concise lab reports Organizational and Problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills to nurture teamwork and foster an environment of achievement. Result-oriented and self-motivating, seeking information from others to accomplish objectives. Timely execution of multiple project objectives within established timelines. Ability to display a degree of flexibility and adapt effectively to change. Desire to learn, apply, and enhance skill set while seeking new opportunities. Perform other assignments as delegated by immediate supervisor. With assistance of supervisor, demonstrate ability to anticipate, plan and realize significant projects involving multiple technical and scientific hurdles.
