Role Description This is a full-time field role for a Server and Storage Engineer role located in Bengaluru. As a Server and Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining server and storage infrastructure for our clients. Specific job duties : Designing and implementing new server and storage solutions to meet the needs of the organization. Deploying and configuring new servers and storage devices, including installing operating systems, software, and firmware. Monitoring and troubleshooting server and storage systems to identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently. Performing regular maintenance and updates to keep server and storage systems running smoothly and securely. Working with other IT professionals to ensure that server and storage infrastructure is integrated with other IT systems, such as networks and databases. Managing server and storage capacity to ensure that it is sufficient to meet the needs of the organization. Developing and implementing disaster recovery and backup plans to protect the organization's data. Staying up-to-date on the latest server and storage technologies and trends. Qualifications Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing server and storage infrastructure, and managing server operating systems, such as Windows, or Linux Strong experience in storage systems, such as Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN) Experience in server and storage virtualization, such as VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM, or Xen Expertise in server and storage hardware, such as Dell, Hewlett Packard (HP), NetApp etc Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash Experience in backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning Well-versed in server and storage security, performance optimization, and capacity planning Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot server and storage issues, and provide timely resolutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environmentJob tags
