Purpose

The world is experiencing more frequent, severe, and global disruptions than ever before and we in Business Resilience ensure exposed business elements are uncovered and fit-for-purpose capability is put in place to mitigate impacts of disruptions. Business resilience for us is integrating business continuity management and crisis management into an effective response platform, with close alignment to disaster recovery and health & safety. This ensures a resilient business to the benefit of our employees, customers and shareholders and serve as the foundation for business resilience in APMM.

We Offer

Reporting to the GSC Business Resilience Lead this role will be based in Mumbai/Pune and be part of the GSC Business Resilience team. This role requires close collaboration with the GSC functional, GSC site and corporate business resilience team. You will be expected to work closely with the stakeholders in the GSCs, front line and the wider safety & resilience COE teams at HQ and of course participate in knowledge sharing between your peers in the similar roles.

Within your area of responsibility, you will have three primary focus areas:

Customers/Internal Stakeholders: You will support Internal stakeholders while always working to strengthen the value proposition towards our customers by continuously developing and expanding our business resilience framework.

Leadership: You will engage with relevant Leadership teams ensuring good cooperation and link between business resilience and business objectives thereby having an effective level of preparedness.

Business: Your role drives the coordination and implementation of business resilience activities across the organization and set standard for business resilience through the Commit rule & International standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead governance and assurance of business resilience framework & documentation in line with Industry best practices and standards. Supervise internal audits on business resilience & present audit reports and recommendations/mitigation measures to senior management. Take ownership of BR assurance plan for the agreed scope and collaborate with GSC business leadership to ensure holistic reporting of assurance plan. Supervise closure of action plans resulting from assurance activities within the allocated area of responsibility. Lead implementation of business resilience in the GSC locations and other entities of Maersk globally. Own and coordinate knowledge sharing communities including creating awareness about Business Resilience and its various aspects. Lead crisis related actions between sites and support site leadership team and site BCM team to ensure people safety and business resilience. Supervise crisis log and post incident/ crisis report creating & presentation to senior management. Support the leadership team with metrics on BR and provide guidance for setting up best practice and fit for purpose BR to benefit of business and customers. Monitor the alerts /news and ensure communications are in place for advising all stakeholders of a critical situation that may have potential impact on the operations. Support CEN BR team in implementation of global business resilience activity as per the BR Annual .wheel. Coach team members to deliver results and provide stretch opportunities for personal & professional development. Be dedicated to teamwork and leadership by fostering an efficient, innovative and collaborative work environment.

Education & Certification

Experience

8+ years of BCMS implementation, governance and assurance relevant experience with a proven track record.

Language

The position requires excellent English in written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

Ability to work under high pressure. Logical thinking with clear data presentation. Excellent communication (verbal, writing, presentation) and influencing skills. Can work with multiple tasks within timeline. Good time management skills and high sense of urgency. Have good customer facing experience, be polite, respect others and leave space to customers. Be creative for problem solving and process improvement. Ability to collaborate with Global teams and work in a matrix organization. Ability to conceptualize and deliver trainings to global BR community. Proven and sustained track record of delivery, with focus on driving results through others. Experience of working with wide variety of complex operational and commercial challenges. Being a team member supporting the global/regional/country teams proactively. Ability to build strong effective networks. Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify and highlight risks. Knowledge of Health and safety management would be beneficial.
