Job description

Position Summary

Perform all activities for technology refresh and new unit requirements to generate purchase orders, manage the whole database of SAM and HAM and asset life cycle.

IT Asset Management activities involve integrated management of PC hardware from acquisition through disposal, desktop software.

Drive overall performance and manage various work-types in the ITAM Process. Responsible for subject matter expert, delivering results as per Service Level Agreement targets / timelines. Audit/Review process related decisions and work output. Produce reports that help to gauge process performance. Actively participate in project meetings to drive business results. Steer process meetings / calls to a logical conclusion.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Perform and support IT Asset Management lifecycle functions. Includes request fulfillment, acquisitions, decommission and control functions

• IT Acquisitions - Coordinate with requestor on respective products through Service Now and Ariba product catalog, prepare 'financial quotes' and PO# which are sent to various MetLife suppliers as per need

  • Exception Processing
• Asset Management methodical approach to proactively replacing laptop/PC's at the end of their 'useful life' (as determined by MetLife)
• Redeployment/Dispose coordinates re-use of surplus assets in the system and dispose older systems from inventory. Systems are redeployed by refurbishing or disposed using vendors
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and correspondence with multiple Stakeholders to safeguarding SLAs
• Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to research and resolve problems
• Perform daily production tasks of high priority along with the team members to meet daily deliverables for IT Asset Management
• Review/generate reports to monitor performance
• Any other essential function that may occur from time to time as directed by the Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent

• Prior experience of working in technical environment especially in Hardware and Networking
• Minimum 2 years' experience in IT industry
• Knowledge of Ariba and Service Now
• Preparation of monthly reports and dashboards
• Design and maintain various databases as well as working with IT on future system/reporting enhancements

Process Specific Skills

• Accurate and updated knowledge of Laptops / PCs
• Prior experience in technical domain is must
• Working knowledge of SQL, MS Access, MS Excel (VBA)
• Design and maintain various databases for Software and Hardware
• Prepare the weekly and monthly assets reporting
• Ensure that the quality of transaction is in compliance with predefined parameters as defined by Process Excellence
• Managing different work types and IT project requests by ensuring seamless completion of planned procurement
• Prior experience in Service Now, Ariba and Remedy is a must

Ability to handle critical situations and escalations independently or with minimal support from SME and supervisor

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of MS Visio, Power point, Work-Flow diagrams and MS Word
• Advanced MS Excel knowledge
• Advanced MS Access knowledge
• SQL, VBA knowledge (preferred)
