Job description
As an Inventory Accountant at Myntra, your responsibilities would include –
Responsible for preparing financial reports related to inventory, ensuring accurate reporting for month-end close process, and presenting insights to stakeholders. Investigate and analyze variances between actual and expected inventory levels, providing insights into discrepancies and implementing corrective actions. Leverage inventory management systems and SQL and Python queries to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data crunching. Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory management and accounting practices, striving for continuous optimization. Collaborate with teams such as procurement, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless integration of inventory-related data across the organization Advanced analytical skills to analyze inventory trends, variances, and cost structures, facilitating strategic decision-making. In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements related to inventory accounting, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Ensure all audit queries by Big 4 audit firms on Statutory, Internal and Physical verification audits are resolved. Ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of the retail industry, especially in a fast-paced e-commerce environment like Myntra. Experience : CA with 2 years of experience (Preferably Big4 experience) Skills : Proficient with Indian Accounting standards , understanding of SQL and Python , Ability to learn and adapt.Job tags
