About the Team:
Toyota Connected India is hiring talented engineers at Chennai and Bangalore to design, develop High-performance Cloud-native applications, and leverage cutting-edge technologies to transform the customer's experience with their vehicle. The Business Development and Customer Success team is responsible for ensuring the success of client engagements, establishing and strengthening client relationships, and leading the sales cycle and business development activities.
Job Description:
Our Toyota Connected Business Development and Customer Success team is looking for a Senior Manager/Associate Director, to be part of a highly talented team that is creating new digital products and services for next generation connected vehicles.
What you will do:
- In your role, you will be responsible for building/maintaining excellent relationship with B2B clients and ensure success of TCIN's engagements with them.
- Your responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining a healthy sales pipeline and owning the sales cycle activities such as proposal creation, estimation, and Statement of Work (SoW), in close collaboration with the Technical teams.
- You are expected to lead the efforts for sales planning and manage tracking, reporting, invoicing, and other aspects of sales operations in collaboration with Finance and other teams.
- You will be responsible for designing and implementing business development plan to meet sales targets, expand the company's customer base and ensure a strong presence in the markets.
- You are expected to lead client conversations in the connected mobility area, and conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions for customers to showcase product value and benefits.
- You will be responsible for revenue generation, profitability, customer satisfaction and growing the customer base and engagement portfolio.
- Your responsibilities will also include driving the long-term strategy and roadmap for Electric Vehicle Management Systems, focusing on product and market growth opportunities.
You are a successful candidate if you have:
- 12+ years of validated experience, with strong sales/relationship management/account management experience, in the IT Industry
- Significant experience in successfully pursuing and closing large enterprise level deals while successfully navigating complex sales cycle activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at senior and mid-management levels
- Successful track record of pursuing multi-million-dollar revenue targets and consistently achieving or exceeding them
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusting internal and external relationships
- Strong Business acumen and familiarity of Information Technology system.
- Knowledge of cloud computing and Automotive Connected car experience is desirable. The candidate should have the ability to lead client conversations in connected mobility area.
- Experience of working with global clients. Experience of working with clients in the Indian market would be nice to have.
- Deep knowledge of the automobile industry, customers, dealers, and supply base.
- Deep understanding of the Connected Vehicle Ecosystem and emerging technologies like EV (Electric Vehicle), Autonomous vehicles and a deep understanding of remote diagnostics and service tools. cloud computing and Automotive Connected car experience is desirable.

- Passionate problem solver and can focus attention on technical details (take complex problems and break them down into components).
