Position Summary :
As an Oracle Financials Functional Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our financial systems and processes. You will be responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, and support of Oracle Financials applications to meet the financial and accounting needs of our organization. You will work closely with local finance teams, financial shared service team, IT professionals, and end-users to ensure that Oracle Financials is effectively implemented and maintained.
Key Duties
- Configure and maintain Oracle Financials applications to meet the specific financial requirements of the organization.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Management and Cash Management.
- Analyze and understand business processes and workflows related to financial functions.
- Collaborate with business users to identify process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance system functionality.
- Assist in integrating Oracle Financials with other systems or third-party applications to ensure seamless data flow.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency between financial modules and other integrated systems.
- Develop and execute test plans for financial system upgrades, enhancements, and patches.
- Perform thorough testing to ensure that configurations and customizations meet business requirements.
- Provide support and occasionally training to end-users in using Oracle Financials effectively.
- Address user inquiries, issues, and system problems in a timely and efficient manner respecting agreed SLA.
- Maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Create functional specifications for reports and support developers' team during implementation cycle.
- Be responsible for the change management process.
- Ensure that Oracle Financials are configured to meet regulatory and security compliance requirements.
- Work with internal compliance team and external auditors to provide required controls and system walkthrough.
School Background / Working Seniority
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience working with Oracle EBS Financials.
Basic Skills
- Strong English language skills
- Analytical, and Problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Technical / Functional skills
- Deep knowledge of EBS financial modules - AP, AR, GL, CM, CST, SLA
- Knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles is a plus.
- Understanding of EU legislative and financial regulations (e.g. EU Tax, e-invoicing, SAFT reporting)
- Oracle Financials certification is advantageous.
- Experience with system integration and data migration is a plus.
- Experience with PL/SQL is an advantage.
