Job description
Job Summary:
This position requires knowledge of accounting cycle, cash application, accounts receivable processes with daily balancing. Basic knowledge of unclaimed properties and escheatment. The role requires good knowledge of MS excel & analytical skills
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure correct and timely application of premium funds, maintenance of outstanding cash reports, query management
- Daily account and cash reconciliation, research & analysis
- Prior work experience in bank cash handling and payment application will be preferred
- Basic knowledge of escheatment will be added advantage
- Pulling bank report for and apply / book payments to correct plans/accounts
- Liaison with key customers and stakeholders provide further analysis, explanation and understanding where required
- Ensure all work complies with the internal and external control framework
- Research payments, overpayments, payments missing information
- Manage internal / external communications as and when required
- Prepare / extract reports and investigate accounting issues
- Liaison with upstream / downstream processes as and when required
