JOB DESCRIPTION:

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

· Ensure new features and subject areas are modelled to integrate with existing structures and provide a consistent view. Develop and maintain documentation of the data architecture, data flow and data models of the data warehouse appropriate for various audiences. Provide direction on adoption of Cloud technologies (Snowflake) and industry best practices in the field of data warehouse architecture and modelling.

· Providing technical leadership to large enterprise scale projects. You will also be responsible for preparing estimates and defining technical solutions to proposals (RFPs). This role requires a broad range of skills and the ability to step into different roles depending on the size and scope of the project.

Roles & Responsibilities

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Desired Experience/Skills:

• Working closely with the data analyst and data platform teams to Analyze and evaluate existing data systems and continuously updating and optimising data models.
• Working closely with Business and Analytics team to understand business needs and translate them into long-term solution data models.
• Working with the data ingestion teams from different business areas to understand the data availability and format and to create conceptual data models and data flows.
• Jointly accountable, together with Platform and Development teams, for the performance of the reporting solutions produced.
• Developing best practices for data coding naming conventions, default values, semantics, data dictionary, etc. to ensure consistency within the system and act as an educator and ambassador for best practices when it comes to the data modelling.
• Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
• Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.

Data Modeler Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• Eight years hands-on experience with physical and relational data modelling, with overall 4+ years of industry experience.
• Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
• Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills

Nice to have

Skills/Qualifications:Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

· Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
