The Role:

We are seeking an 'System Configuration Manager (m/f/d)' to join our team. The role can be based in the office or remotely with time in the engineering lab when required.

In this role you will represent System Life Cycle Management within System Capabilities and you will collaborate in a global team to work closely with automotive customers, suppliers and GKN engineering teams toplan, track, report and execute Configuration Management relevant activities acc. to ASPICE SUP.8.

The 'System Configuration Manager (m/f/d)' is supporting the Program Engineering Team and the Domain Leader in planning, scheduling and baselining Releases.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create and maintain a System Configuration Management Plan and manage the
  integration of the SW Configuration Management Plan
• Set up, maintanance and improvement of Configuration Management Systems (Windchill PDMLink and RV&S) including data share portals
• Define all relevant Configuration Items for the complete Program execution and for Product Releases and verify completeness and consistancy
• Create, track and maintain ConfigurationItem Description Lists for the complete Program
• Plan and organize the Release of Baselines for System Releases and Reviews, this has to be inline with the Program timing plan and the Work Breakdown Structure
• Support Engineering Program Manager with reports and metrics to meet all review & release milestones in time
• Track and observe the quality of Configuration Items (lifecycle state, naming convention, folder structure, …)
• Participate in Baseline quality reviews and audits and lead follow up activities
• Support generic process development of GKN Configuration Management Process
• Support Product Release process (SPL.2) and other stakeholder activities
• Maintain the access rights for the Configuration Management Systems and adjust the User access list with the Program Org Chart

Who you'll be:

To be successful in this position, you can work independently, understand the ASPICE processes and have a good system engineering and software engineering knowledge. Someone who is very interested in managing activities, delivering best in class quality and investigating new methods and tools to be used in your Configuration Management process.

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required

Essential

• Bachelors in engineering or similar
• Min 2 years of experience working in an ASPICE project level 1
• Experienced in mechatronic system development, mechanical, electronical and software skills
• Experience with automotive processes and standards.

Skills

• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• PTC Windchill PDMLink including Change Management processes or similar tool
• PTC Windchill RV&S (Documents and Sources) or similar tools
• ISO26262 basic knowledge (Functional Safety)
• ISO21434 basic knowledge (Cyber Security)
• Experienced in project management tools
• ASPICE V model process skills

Language Skills: Must be fluent in English
