TCS is hiring for "Supply Chain- Category Manager". Details below-
Role- Category Manager Location-Mumbai Exp-14-18 Years Domain- Supply Chain Role- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze market data and industry benchmarks to uncover insights and identify best practices and savings opportunities. Develop and execute category strategies based on data insights and category knowledge. Evaluate and propose potential suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Validate projected savings from sourcing events. Independently lead and support strategic sourcing events and supplier negotiations. Communicate with business unit leadership to understand requirements and support decision-making. Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships for effective procurement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category strategies with organizational goals. PRIMARY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Proven industry experience in category management with a track record of successful category optimization and establishing best practice. Proficiency in data analysis and experience with relevant tools for informed, data-driven decisions. In-depth knowledge of the specific products or services within the assigned category. Cross-functional collaboration experience. SECONDARY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as experience with e-procurement platforms. International procurement experience and knowledge of global supply chain dynamics. Project management skills to handle complex procurement projects and initiatives. Familiarity with quality control processes to ensure that products or services meet quality standards. Additional experience in having supported other categories such CAPEX, Packaging Materials, Professional Services or Logistics would be advantageous.
