Position -

Canteen Manager

Responsibilities:

Operational Management: Plan, organize, and coordinate daily canteen operations.

Ensure timely food preparation, service, and cleanliness.

Menu Planning: Develop and maintain a diverse and appealing menu that caters to

the preferences of the clientele.

Manage inventory and stock levels to meet demand.

Staff Supervision : Recruit, train, and supervise canteen staff.

Create work schedules, assign duties, and ensure staff compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Customer Service: Maintain a high standard of customer service.

Address customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly.

Quality Control: Ensure that all food items meet quality and safety standards.

Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dining areas.

Cost Management: Monitor and control operational costs, including food and labor

expenses.

Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Compliance and Licensing: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.

Oversee the maintenance of necessary licenses and permits.

Vendor Management: Source and manage relationships with food and beverage suppliers.

Negotiate contracts and ensure timely deliveries.

Budgeting: Prepare and manage the canteen budget.

Track expenses and revenue, providing regular reports to higher management.

Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols.

Conduct regular training sessions on safety procedures for canteen staff.

Event Management: Plan and execute special events or promotions in the canteen.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in canteen or food

service management.

Strong leadership and interpersonal

skills.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and

hygiene standards.

Excellent organizational and multitasking

abilities.

Budgeting and cost control experience.

Effective communication and

problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with local culinary trends

and preferences.
