Job position-Technical Delivery Manager

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a team leader. Candidate will work with a team of full time and consultant developers and QA engineers to develop a set of systems to support the program including data transfer services, back end software infrastructure, a reporting and analytics engine, and various parsers. Candidate will own the SW system development process from ideation through long-term sustaining ownership, release, and will be responsible for keeping the applications current with periodic releases. Ø Drive development across multiple teams to create and maintain a holistic set of systems Ø Demonstrated ability to work & lead in an agile perspective for all SW development & commit to fast release schedule Ø Working with the Project Owner/Sponsor to confirm the project scope and goals, objectives and business justification, secure project resources (people and budget) and re-iterate the mandate for the project. Ø Preparing a detailed project work-plan with associated resource requirement profile identification. Ø Creating, maintaining and updating key project documentation. Ø Leading, monitoring and maintaining progress of the project to ensure delivery of goals within the agreed constraints of time, cost and quality. Ø Controlling and reporting progress to the Project Steering Group/Project Sponsor and managing any issues, as appropriate. Initiating corrective action where necessary to keep the project on track. Ø Playing a lead role in defining an effective communication strategy for the project, including communicating and consulting with key stakeholders. Ø Identify interdependencies between the various stakeholder groups to ensure all are aligned and risks are identified, mitigated and communicated. Ø Must be able to lead and work effectively in globally distributed small to medium d teams Ø Conduct regular code reviews to keep codebase in compliance with rigorous code review standards Ø Conduct design reviews and provide assurance that all modules fit to proposed architecture Ø Familiarity with and ability to implement test-driven-development methodologies Ø Commitment to long-term sustaining application ownership Ø Ability to conduct R&D and PoC's Ø Takes ownership and ability to delegate assigned tasks with responsibilities. Institutes and participates in corrective actions to ensure closure / resolution.
Required SkillsØ >5 years leading software development teams
Ø Data Analytics project delivery / data platform projects experience
Ø Technical project management experience and the ability to manage projects no matter what the technology involved
Ø Experience of more than one data solution design and data delivery methodologies
Ø Experience in Big Data Solutions including experience in Spark, Python/Scala, SQL, HBase Kafka and other tools in Hadoop ecosystem.
Ø Experience with any of the cloud services i.e. GCP / AWS / Azure
Ø Exposure to Git, Jira
