Job description
The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Responsibilities Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Selection:
- Develop effective recruitment and selection strategies to attract top talent.
- Create job descriptions, advertise vacancies, and manage the entire recruitment process.
- Conduct interviews, assess candidates' qualifications, and make hiring decisions.
- Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Design and implement an effective onboarding process for new hires.
- Conduct orientation programs to familiarize new employees with company policies, procedures, and culture.
- Manage offboarding procedures, including exit interviews and necessary documentation.
- Performance Management:
- Develop and implement a performance management system that includes goal setting, regular feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Provide guidance to managers on addressing performance issues and implementing performance improvement plans.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate appropriate learning opportunities.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances.
- Mediate and resolve conflicts between employees and managers.
- Promote positive employee relations and foster a productive work environment.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding compensation and benefits.
- Conduct salary reviews and recommend adjustments to maintain internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Policy Development and Compliance:
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Communicate policies to employees and provide guidance on their implementation.
- Stay updated on HR best practices and legal requirements to maintain compliance.
- HR Data Management:
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports for management decision-making.
- Ensure data privacy and confidentiality of employee information.
- Compliance Program Development:
- Develop and implement an effective HR compliance program aligned with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Review and update HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Employment Law Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date on changes in employment laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Ensure HR policies and practices comply with relevant laws, such as equal employment opportunity, wage and hour, and anti-discrimination laws.
- Advise HR and management teams on legal requirements and potential risks associated with employment decisions.
- Training and Education:
- Develop and deliver training programs on HR compliance topics to employees, managers, and HR staff.
- Promote awareness of compliance obligations and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance requirements.
- Internal Investigations:
- Conduct internal investigations into compliance-related issues, such as employee complaints, misconduct, or policy violations.
- Gather and analyze evidence, interview relevant parties, and prepare comprehensive investigation reports.
- Recommend appropriate actions to address and prevent compliance breaches.
- Recordkeeping and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HR compliance activities, including training records, policy acknowledgments, and investigation files.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Reporting and Monitoring:
- Prepare and submit required compliance reports to regulatory authorities as necessary.
- Monitor HR practices and processes to identify potential compliance gaps or areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain systems for tracking and reporting compliance metrics.
- External Relationships:
- Serve as a point of contact for external auditors, regulators, and legal authorities regarding HR compliance matters.
- Stay informed about industry trends and changes in compliance requirements.
Qualifications - MBA(HR) or relevant experience
- 8+ years' experience in Human Resources
- Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
- Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
- Attention to detail and good judgement
