Software Engineer

Summary:

At DHL IT Services, we’re designing, building and running IT solutions globally, supporting our 550 000 colleagues and millions of our clients. Thousands of servers, apps, devices, all managed from our data centers.

Currently, we’re looking for a Software Engineer for our Virtual Assistants Platform team. Through the technology passion of our team, the platform has grown from a proof-of-concept to a global platform used by all DPDHL divisions and millions of customers, and it now shapes the perception of DPDHL to our customers through state-of-the-art technologies. We are an agile team utilizing recent NLP and speech technology and delivering a truly global scalable solution used by millions of our customers.

What you will do:

• Implement product advancements in our Virtual Assistant platform with best practices in mind.
• Ideate, consult on and develop new product properties.
• Investigate potential critical issues and determine appropriate actions.
• Analyze end-to-end performance where needed.
• Work with an enthusiastic DevOps team in an Agile environment.
• Shares knowledge to other development team members.

What you will need:

• Experience in backend technologies, preferable Rust and Node.js
• Familiar with containerization platforms like Openshift or Kubernetes.
• Development background on Asterisk or other telephony PBX system.
• Mindset to deliver high quality and continuous improvement.
• Quick learner with dedication and responsibility.
• Good communication skills to explain your work to a non-technical audience.
• Very good written and spoken English; we’re an international team.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with chatbots and messaging platforms.
• MongoDB knowledge or other NoSQL database skills.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with public cloud such as Azure, GCP.
