Job description

Designation: Hardware Manager-Power Electronics

Experience: 15 to 20 Years

 Key Skills:

 Leading hardware team for Design and development of Power Electronics Products e.g.,Inverters, Converters, Rectifiers, Battery Chargers, SMPS etc.

 New Product Development process from Requirements, concepts to manufacturing.

 Power Electronics Engineer with good experience in design calculations, PCB circuit design etc.

 Standardization of Design Process, Calculations and Technical Specifications

 Good experience for testing of Power Electronics products e.g., Drives, Inverters, Converters,

Rectifiers, etc.

 Good knowledge for preparation of engineering documents. e.g., all design documents, test specifications, design specifications, change management, design requisitions, etc.

 Technical Skills:

 Simulation of Power Electronics circuits using MATLAB, Simplorer or Equivalent simulation tools

 Analog/digital circuit design, circuit simulation, component selection, PCB Design, etc.

 Knowledge of PCB components and it's design. Selection of Topologies for DC/AC, DC/DC

Converters

 Selection of Power Electronics components e.g., IGBT, chokes, capacitors, current sensor, etc.

 Good knowledge about EMC requirements, EMC filter design and selection

Job Role & Responsibilities:

 Leading HW Team to ensure it achieves its strategic objectives in terms of delivering product

road maps on scope, schedule, and quality design criteria.

 Building strong Departmental capabilities through coaching and mentoring of existing engineering team.

 Driving recruitment, mentoring and performance management: Inspiring team to exceed expectations

 Execution of Technical Strategies, New Product Development, Sustaining Engineering, Budgeting

for projects, Preparation of Infrastructures and Team Building

 Project Planning, Scheduling, and Monitoring as per Milestones requirements from concept to launch, including specification, design, validation, certification, and Testing.

 Managing hardware Team, Reporting to MD (locally) and HW head in Germany.

 Collaborating with product line managers and business leaders to define innovative and technical

road maps, meeting cost and time to market targets.

 Good communication skills, problem solving and analytical skills.

 Team Player

 Can work with less assistant.
