Job description
MIT World Peace University invites profile for Professor cum Associate Dean-External Relations.
Job Purpose:
Full-time researcher working under this Centre may be required to teach a topic/part of the syllabus.
Key Accountability:
Strategic:
Support in execution of Centre for Academic Research and Technology (CART) strategies.
Operational:
- Developing strong linkages with appropriate academic departments and units and adding value to line departments through:
- Assist in faculty and student enrollment under Centre for Academic Research and Technology (CART) vertical and retention by enriching the research environment
- Upgrading MIT WPU curriculum
- Providing interdisciplinary research training and mentoring for undergraduate and graduate students
- Regular communication of research center activities and opportunities for faculty and students' involvement
Collaborations:
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with the different stake holders in the organization
- Developing networks between the research center and researchers in the field in the public and private sectors, locally, nationally and internationally
- Where applicable, developing mutually beneficial linkages with industry in order to develop partnerships and collaborative research
Research:
Research center Professor will be responsible for providing research leadership, which normally includes:
- Developing networks between the research center and researchers in the field in the public and private sectors, locally, nationally and internationally
- Engage one training program for MIT-WPU faculty members working in the similar technological field and one for the Industry showcasing the research every year.
- Where applicable, developing mutually beneficial linkages with industry in order to develop partnerships and collaborative research;
- Transferring knowledge to society through outreach (e.g. collaborative research; seminars; workshops; lectures; websites; publications) and, where applicable, through technology transfer (e.g. collaborative research; contract work; and commercialization of intellectual property)
- Conduct market research studies & implement best practices
Academic:
Professor- Core Responsibilities
The Academic Research and Technology(CART) Vertical Professor will be research leader, capable of:
- Maintaining the confidence and cooperation of research center members
- Publish 3 to 4 research papers in Scopus indexed journals during a typical project period of two years.
- Identify and file at least one idea for Patent within two years.
- Managing effectively and efficiently the research program and administrative affairs of the research center
- Creating an environment conducive to intellectual and research growth.
External Representation:
Represent MIT WPU on various professional bodies of repute which is value adding building relationship with the community, government agencies, society at large and with ultimate objective of building MIT WPU brand
Person Specification:
Substantial leadership and management experience:
Able to provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs and services, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programs
External relations and Corporate engagement:
The ability to advocate at the highest levels regionally and nationally on behalf of
the University and to influence the decision maker.
Personal attributes and style:
- A strong commitment to MIT WPU and its vision, ambitions, and values.
- Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with staff at all levels in the Division, engaging them with the University's vision and plans.

Minimum Qualification & Experience:
- Ph.D. degree in Finance/Commerce/HR/Marketing is must.
- Ph.D. with 10+ years of experience in research & teaching field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
