Job description

We are having an urgent opening for the position of  Senior Merchandiser for a reputed manufacturing company at the Kolkata location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interaction with buyers & buying house and maintaining buyer information and focusing on documentation of activities.
• Sampling Evaluation, follow up on new offer samples, running sample programs & production, lead-times, approvals on sample submission
• Follow up production, sampling, orders, fabric, trims, and accessories.
• Interaction with production units for in-time shipments thereby
• Carrying-out Pre-Production meetings with the production team and all other relevant stake holders, with regards to packing date, style, delivery, etc.
• Verification and review of costing before sending the Quotation.
• Reviewing development of fabric, placing of orders and initiate necessary follow-up
• Determine and articulately define targets, and empower the merchandising and sampling teams with resources, skills and know-how to deliver on them.

Candidate Profile:

• Graduate from NIFT/equivalent/other reputed institute
• Must possess excellent communication skills (Oral & Verbal)
• Experience of UK/European and US market
• In depth knowledge of the garment industry & its current trends.
