Job Summary:
As the LMS Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, management, and optimization of the Learning Management System within the organization. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of educational technology and learning principles. The LMS Head will collaborate with various departments to ensure the effective utilization of the LMS to meet organizational goals and enhance business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- LMS Implementation and Management:
- Lead the selection, implementation, and customization of the Learning Management System.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the LMS.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the LMS, and collaborate with IT for technical support.
- Content Development and Curation:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to develop and curate high-quality training content.
- Ensure content aligns with organizational goals and meets the needs of diverse learners.
- User Training and Support:
- Develop and deliver training programs for LMS users, including administrators, instructors, and learners.
- Provide ongoing support to users, addressing issues, and promoting best practices.
- LMS Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize LMS analytics to track and measure the effectiveness of learning programs.
- Generate reports and analyze data to provide insights into learner engagement, course effectiveness, and overall training impact.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with HR, IT, and various department heads to align learning initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners for additional learning resources.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that the organization complies with relevant regulations and standards in training and development.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain the quality and relevance of training content.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the field of e-learning.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the LMS and learning programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in managing Learning Management Systems, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
