We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Product Test and Automation Engineer to join MX. You will be working as part of a growing experienced team, building, expanding, and enhancing our platform on our journey to making the world more financially strong. As a Product Test and Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing efficient testing strategies and automated solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. Your expertise in test methodologies, automation frameworks, and debugging techniques will be vital in delivering high-quality software and hardware solutions to our customers. Job Duties Work directly with world class engineers in Scrum framework Identify, document, and follow up on issues and feature requests Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify product functionality, performance, and reliability. Design and implement automated testing frameworks, tools, and test scripts to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers, to understand product requirements and develop appropriate test strategies. Identify, analyze, and report software defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Utilize test management and bug tracking systems to document and track defects, and monitor their progress until resolution. Conduct root cause analysis of product issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software and hardware testing and automation. Participate in product design reviews to provide input on testability, reliability, and usability aspects. Collaborate with the Test Automation team to define and improve testing processes and methodologies. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by team leadership. Job Requirements 2+ years background or training in application testing preferred Proven experience as a Product Test and Automation Engineer or a similar role, preferably in a technology or hardware-focused industry. Experience with creating, maintaining, and executing test cases for usability and, functionality, as well as design requirements Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test plan development, and test case design. Experience with creating bug/issue reports and working with product and development to resolve them Experience in and knowledge of browsers, devices and operating systems to validate code changes and identify issues Experience in testing web and mobile experiences. Experience with an automated test framework like Cypress, Selenium or Appium. Experience with BrowserStack for mobile testing is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and isolate software and hardware defects. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Ability to lead on projects and initiatives to improve our products and test coverage Strong understanding of using and testing API calls Bachelor's degree or continued education in Computer Science, or a related field. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of performance testing and profiling tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, perf). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Compensation The expected earnings for this role could be comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions as applicable. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package.
