Overview
The role of a Pre Primary & DayCare Teacher is crucial in fostering the early development and education of young children. The teacher creates a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and develop essential skills. They play a key role in laying the foundation for children's future success in school and life.
Key Responsibilities - Design and implement a creative and engaging curriculum for young children
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and play
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Observe and assess children's development and progress
- Communicate effectively with parents on their child's progress and behavior
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
- Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and learning activities
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and enriching environment
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Certification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and theories
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment
- Understanding of age-appropriate teaching methods and activities
- Patience and compassion in working with young children
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts among children
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations for childcare facilities
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and energetic environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
- Current CPR and first aid certification is desirable
- Understanding of diversity and inclusion in an educational setting
