Collate, maintain and distribute relevant information and data obtained from both existing sources (consultants, economic forecasters) and external sources
Manage GDS close out/opening-up dates, if applicable
Ensure all Groups are contracted
Conduct market research and analysis
Report on competitor activity
Participate in preparation of strategic plans for the hotel
Access and assess sales and marketing data
Prepares and administers detailed induction program for new staff
Assists in maintaining a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversees their implementation through ongoing training
Regularly communicates with staff and maintains good relations
Co-ordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget
Controls and monitors departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget
