Job Title: Security Engineer

Job Description: As an Azure Security Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the security and integrity of Azure cloud environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain security measures to protect Azure resources and data. Key Responsibilities: 1. Threat Detection and Incident Response: Monitor Azure environments for security incidents, anomalies, and potential threats. Develop and implement incident response plans to effectively respond to and mitigate security breaches. Conduct security incident investigations and provide recommendations for remediation. 2. Security Assessments and Audits: Conduct regular security assessments and audits of Azure environments to identify misconfigurations, vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards. Perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and security assessments of Azure applications and infrastructure. 3. Security Monitoring and Alerting: Configure and manage security monitoring tools and systems to detect and respond to security events and incidents. Create and fine-tune security alerts and notifications to proactively identify and address potential security risks. 4. Security Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain security documentation, including security policies, standards, and procedures specific to Azure environments. Provide training and guidance to internal teams on Azure security best practices and secure coding techniques. Required Skills and Qualifications: · Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Security Monitoring · Knowledge of Azure security services and features, such as Defender for Cloud, Azure Firewall, Azure EntraID, WAF, Azure Policies and Azure Sentinel. · Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, such as Mitre Att&CK, NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001. · Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages. · Experience with security monitoring tools and SIEM solutions. · Understanding of Azure Cybersecurity practices. · Understanding of Azure DevOps pipelines. · Understanding of network security, identity and access management, encryption, and authentication protocols. · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve security issues. · Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Certifications: · Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or Security Operations Analyst · Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) · Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
