Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to lead our Pune Software Development Centre as the Centre Head. The ideal candidate will possess extensive software development experience, particularly in Java and Spring Boot, along with hands-on expertise in Microservices architecture and cloud-based computing. The candidate should demonstrate a strong understanding of software lifecycle projects, API development, design patterns, and preferably have experience in designing Financial service applications. The Centre Head will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in Pune and will report directly to the Tech Architect.

Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the Pune Software Development Centre, ensuring efficient operation and delivery of high-quality software products.
2. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
3. Collaborate with the Tech Architect and other stakeholders to define technical strategies, roadmaps, and project plans.
4. Drive the development and implementation of software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and cloud-based technologies.
5. Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and design patterns throughout the software development lifecycle.
6. Mentor and coach team members, promoting skill development and career growth opportunities.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
8. Act as a liaison between the Pune Software Development Centre and other business units, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum 10 years of software development experience, with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot.
3. Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and cloud-based computing (any cloud platform).
4. Proven track record of leading and delivering software lifecycle projects, with a minimum of three projects completed.
5. Solid understanding of API development, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
6. Experience with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) is a plus.
7. Prior experience in designing Financial service applications is highly desired.
8. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
9. Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset.
10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
