Roles and Responsibilities
Strategy Development
•Understand market trends, customer needs, and technological advancements in the glass industry in line with the company's target to grow premium C&P business across Glass and Deco
•Keeps abreast of advancements in the glass industry to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and potential growth areas in the glass industry
•Ownership of NPD P/L (% contribution of NPD in the total revenue)
•Identification of gaps (if any) and decision making to fill those gaps
Team Management
•Lead, mentor, and manage a team of NPD coordinators across Marketing, Glass and Deco
•Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages idea generation and problem-solving to ensure completion of project within timelines
End to end NPD Coordination
1. End to end Monitoring:
•Continuously monitor the end-to-end NPD pipeline from Glass to Deco (from feasibility assessment, mould design, mould manufacturing, mould procurement, sample production, commercial production and activities in Deco)
2. Cross Functional Collaboration:
•Collaborate and influence Department HODs to prioritize NPD development efforts for product launches within timelines and resolve inter-departmental issues. Department HODs with whom interaction will be on a regular basis are:
3. MIS and Reviews:
•Regularly report KPIs for the NPD Department to senior management
•Maintain records of all NPD projects by stage and track the performance of each department through IT systems
•Organize and conduct periodic reviews to review progress on live projects, resolve inter departmental issues, create a mitigation plan for delayed NPDs and escalate to senior management for support required on a case-to-case basis
•Track the actuals vs targets decided by business
