Job Summary:
As an International College Counselor specializing in admissions to Ivy League institutions and other top colleges in the US, UK, and Canada for MBA, UG, and PG programs, you will play a crucial role in guiding students through the complex process of college admissions. Your primary responsibilities will include providing personalized guidance to students, assisting them in identifying suitable colleges, navigating application procedures, and advocating for their best interests. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in college counseling in premium organisation, a strong academic background from prestigious universities, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for supporting students in achieving their academic aspirations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized counseling to students interested in pursuing MBA, UG, and PG programs at Ivy League institutions and other top colleges in the US, UK, and Canada.
- Assist students in identifying colleges and programs that align with their academic interests, career goals, and personal preferences.
- Guide students through the entire college application process, including advising on standardized tests, essay writing, resume building, and interview preparation.
- Stay updated on admission requirements, application deadlines, and program offerings at various international colleges and universities.
- Build and maintain relationships with admissions officers at target institutions to advocate for students and stay informed about evolving admission trends and policies.
- Conduct informational workshops and seminars to educate students, parents, and faculty about international college admissions.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to support students' academic and extracurricular development.
- Provide ongoing support and encouragement to students throughout the college admissions journey, addressing any concerns or challenges they may encounter.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, attend professional development workshops, and continuously enhance knowledge and skills in college counseling best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
- Certification in college counseling or membership in professional organizations such as the International Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC) or the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
- Experience studying or working abroad, particularly in the US, UK, or Canada.
- Familiarity with college counseling software and tools for tracking student progress and managing application materials.
