Three-year contract home-based, freelance opportunity for 21 hours per week at £30/hr
The Association of Festival Churches exists to support churches wishing to adopt the Festival Church model (FCM). FCM was first envisaged in the Church Buildings Review of 2015, later adopted and promoted as part of the Taylor review undertaken by DCMS in 2017.
The Association's trustees have been awarded funding to support the appointment of a freelance Festival Church Development Officer to promote, develop and evaluate the model among Church of England parish churches.
The Association has identified case studies of churches already being successfully run as Festival Churches, and worked alongside the Cambridge Judge Business School to develop initial guidance material on the FCM as part of the REACH Ely project.
The Association wants to build on this at pace, building a new website and developing a suite of resources to support the development and promotion of FCM. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of, and enthusiasm for, the Church and its buildings, and have a demonstrable track record in successfully undertaking similar projects.
