Job Summary

The Software Engineer will work on functional and technical role with Blue Yonder hosted solution. At Polaris, we optimize our whole goods supply chain along with our parts & accessories business using a hosted instance of Blue Yonder Planning systems.

The Software Engineer is responsible for the code creation, unit testing, maintaining of the software and proving production support. The Software Engineer needs to effectively partner with product manager, scrum master, system analysts, other application developers and end users.

This individual will analyze existing business processes and design technical specifications to develop systems, deliver code and integrations to other systems. This person must demonstrate passion for strengthening and enhancing business results through software development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Software development

  • Transforms software design into executable Blue Yonder SCPO objects in accordance with Polaris standards.
  • Write test scenarios, perform unit testing, system testing and document the results.
  • Collaborate with other Software Engineers to implement the project.
  • Ensures compliance with SOX.

System and Team Support

  • Provides day-to-day application support to project team and business users.
  • Troubleshoots production problems and works to fix issues.
  • Understands technology and systems infrastructure.
  • Work with project teams on technical requirements, development, and implementation plans
  • Value and embrace teamwork and collaboration and be responsible for successful completion of tasks.
  • Help to keep the standard up to date and include innovative technology and learning.

Code and Process Review

  • Review code for ease of understanding and maintainability
  • Review code and process with Project teams to assist in the understanding and flow.
  • Create install distribution sets for monthly installs with Blue Yonder SCPO
  • Ensures compliance with SOX

Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/software design, Computer Information Systems or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of experience in a Software Engineer/Developer role performing system analysis, writing technical specifications, coding, QA/testing
  • Blue Yonder Planning (SCPO) – Demand, Enterprise Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, Order Optimization, S&OP module development experience.
  • Functional and technical experience with integration of Blue Yonder applications with ERP and Data Warehouse platforms.
  • Strong database skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple project assignments.
  • Ability to effectively execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent analytical and creative critical thinking skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation

Preferred Skills

  • Azure/.net development
  • SQL / Snowflake development
  • Functional knowledge with manufacturing and supply chain business processes and data
  • Experience with Agile Methodology.
  • Experience with Jira or similar application.
