Job Description Summary
As the Lead responsible for Strategic Initiatives and Market Intelligence at GE GRID solutions, you will serve as a trusted hand of Country Head. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the CEO and the executive team by providing in-depth knowledge of market information in the Transmission and Distribution markets. Your responsibilities will also include as owner of Annual/Biannual strategic planning and supporting Legal Entity GE T&D India Limited for regulatory process and business information.
In this role, you will be tasked with Establishing and following Business intelligence strategic business initiatives & processes, This will require close collaboration with the respective Business Units team member responsible for their businesses. You'll be the driving force behind ensuring that these initiatives align with the company's overall strategy.
Furthermore, you will actively support the Leadership Team in decision-making processes with strategic market & competitive information on the T&D Businesses in the South Asia region.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Build an understanding of Business Value Streams, Energy transition concepts, and the Energy industry – using this understanding to issue regular market analysis for T&D stream supporting the defined strategic plays in the relevant markets.
- Attend leadership & team meetings, provide an overall picture of progress regarding strategic initiatives,
- Act as a liaison between leadership team members and the different functions involved in strategic initiatives to measure market movements.
- Track our competitors' strategic initiatives and forecast potential impact in our operating space.
- Supporting leadership with Annual General reports with Strategic and Marketing data
- Supporting leadership in Boarding meetings and Regulatory investor presentations with marketing data backed by evidence.
- Rolling strategy review including annual strategy submission
- Data-oriented personality, great communication skills, and an excellent eye for detail.
- Strong background in business intelligence/data analytics
- Ability to write comprehensive reports and create presentations.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to help build and implement effective processes.
- Owning the strategy for external and internal communications
- Design of external communications, marketing collateral and branding.
- Site Communications & Social Content
- Collaborate with GE Vernova Communications functionally to build the Vernova brand and drive engagement between business segments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering/management in a related discipline from an accredited university or college and/or equivalent experience
- Experience in data analysis and budget management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity
- Proven ability to lead in an effective and trustworthy way.
Desired Characteristics
- Master’s degree in business administration
- Power/Energy Sector awareness at Macro/Micro level
- 4+ years’ experience mining data as a data analyst
- Proven analytical skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
- Prior experience in external communications as well as event planning
- Proficiency in web and social content
- Proactive go-getter with strong relationship building skills
