Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior System on Chip (SoC) Architect to join our dynamic team at HCL Technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SoC architecture design, particularly with ARM/RIISC-V based SoC development, and a proven track record of successful end-to-end SoC design and system integration. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to drive performance, power, and area (PPA) goals of the SoC while ensuring compliance with system requirements and specifications. This role demands a deep understanding of SoC design principles, high-speed interface handling, interconnect architectures, and hardware-software co-design methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and design of complex System on Chip (SoC) solutions, focusing on ARM/RIISC-V based platforms.
• Drive the entire SoC development flow from concept to post-silicon validation, ensuring adherence to performance, power, and area (PPA) goals.
• Derive SoC specifications from system requirements and translate them into efficient architectural solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance in handling high-speed interfaces such as DDRx, PCIE, and Ethernet.
• Exhibit expertise in interconnect architectures, including Network-on-Chip (NOC) and Network Interface Controller (NIC).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable hardware-software co-design and integration.
• Offer domain-specific expertise in one of the following areas: Automotive or High-Performance Computing/Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (HPC/AI/ML).
• Architect and tape out ASIC-D type SoCs for automotive applications, or handle multicore SoCs involving ARM Noeverse architectures, GPU, and AI accelerator integration for HPC/AI/ML domains.
• Implement low-power techniques and strategies to optimize SoC designs with multiple clock and power domains.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 20+ years of overall experience with at least 15 years of experience specifically in SoC architecture design.
• Proven experience in end-to-end SoC design development flow and system integration.
• Deep expertise in ARM/RIISC-V based SoC development.
• Strong understanding of high-speed interfaces (DDRx, PCIE, Ethernet) and interconnect architectures (NIC, NOC).
• Familiarity with hardware-software co-design methodologies.
• Domain-specific experience in Automotive or HPC/AI/ML, with a track record of architecting and taping out ASIC-D type SoCs or multicore SoCs.
• Proficiency in low-power techniques and strategies for SoC designs involving multiple clock and power domains.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
