Job description
Manager – Utilities
To ensure uninterrupted availability of all production equipment’s,
utility Equipments for the unit. To lead the maintenance team and ensure upkeep
of equipment’s and plant through robust maintenance systems. Innovate and
implement systems and contemporary technologies in his areas of operation, with
an aim to reduce operating costs and achieve improved standards of quality and
EHS
Principal Accountabilities
1.Ensure strong Maintenance systems and processes
2.Ensure 100 % availability of all equipment of production
& utilities/ancillary services -
3.Ensure operation & maintenance of the services
equipment in line with OEM recommendations and/or industry best practices.
4.Guide the Maintenance team to develop/improve maintenance
procedures and ensure implementation.
5.Identify and implement adequate training & development
programs for the maintenance team
6.Ensure all statutory requirements as per Inspector of
Factory requirements, Weights and measures, Boiler Inspectorate, pollution
control board etc .
7.Identify external resources / OEMs for outsourcing of the
O & M, facilities management, where applicable.
8. Identify, plan & implement energy conservation
programmes/projects
9.Target reducing break downs year on year and improve MTBR
and MTBF
10. Ensure Energy audit and Water audit are done
periodically.
11.Carry out inspection, monitoring of equipment health as
per schedule and improve the predictive maintenance
12. Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
13. Plan and execute the capex projects for the unit. Ensure
due diligence to all engineering related projects
14. Ensure regular review of spare inventory and control the
same. Ensure stock availability as per set norms and consumption patterns.
15. Ensure proper documentation and review of maintenance
practices
16.Ensure health and safety policies are complied with during
all maintenance practices
17.Forecasting, ordering, and price negotiation for spare
parts inventory developing and implementing a (proactive) maintenance program

Role Requirements
B.Tech from a premier institute (IITs) with 2-3 years of experience post engineering or from a next rung institute (RECs)preferably with 4 to 5 years of experience in maintenance
or from next rung of premier engg institutionswith 8 to 9 of years of experience in utility maintenance
Preference would be given to Mechanical Engg candidates
Possessing Energy Manager or Energy auditor certification
issued by BEE will be an added advantage
Knowledge and Skills
Basic Knowledge of mechanical engineering & process
engineering.
Working knowledge of Soap and CLS (crema lotion shampoo)
related machinery will be an added advantage ,
Working knowledge of Utilities like- Boilers, Chillers,
Compressors, Blowers ,Material handling Equipments like BOPTs, HOPTs, HRTs,
Stackers,Lifts.
Knowledge of statutes and regulations
Knowledge of best practices relevant to work responsibility
Analytical & troubleshooting ng skills
Knowledge of TPM, problem solving tools
Proven experience as maintenance manager and Experience in
planning maintenance operations
