Job description

Position :- VP (Head of Construction Management)

Reporting to :- Head -Projects & Development

Reportees- All sites (Pan India) Construction management teams, Head office construction management team.

Provide leadership and insight to the construction management team.

Share technical expertise and innovative trends in construction industry

Ensure continuous improvement of business processes by incorporating industry best practices for operational control, reporting procedures and people systems

Mentor and develop leaders to support strategic objectives of the organization

Deliver Construction projects within required parameters of Budget /Time & Quality.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Focus

Actively participate in strategy building and implement project operational strategy in line with organization vision

Develop policies, quality standards guidelines, administrative and reporting procedures for driving cost reduction and operational efficiencies

Coordinate with internal stakeholders, as Design, procurement, approvals, accounts & finance to ensure timely delivery of projects .

Identify innovative trends in construction industry and industry best practices to improve operational efficiencies

Enable creative thought culture amongst employees through training and empowerment

Operational Focus

Implement new work methods to deliver operational efficiencies

Work out joint strategy for project execution , Set up project-based teams with an optimum use of outsourcing model.

Plan , execute, handover the projects to the utmost standards towards Quality & customer (internal & external) satisfaction.

Continuously focus on customer satisfaction through reduction of internal and external customer complaints

People Focus

Responsible for managing his operational team by enforcing policies and procedures

Performance management and annual appraisals

Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members / contractors for successful project delivery

Identify training needs for the operation teams

Responsible to counsel and retain the top/ critical talent and keep the attrition rate low
