For our Operations Department in Maxion Wheels Aluminum India Pvt. Ltd., Khed , Pune - India, we are looking for an
Manufacturing Engineer Your future role - Managing employees within group, through proactive employee relations.
- Ensuring employees follow standard work and maintain effective, proper safety practices.
- Trains, coaches and orients new and current employees on departmental procedures for QS9000 and ISO 14001. Observe compliance with these standards. Monitors and audits job enhancement progress.
- Meeting product quantity, quality, materials and cost standards.
- Completing all necessary administrative work associated with position, including the review and approval of accurate time and payroll records.
- Managing resource allocation and utilization.
- Works closely with continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs and create efficiencies within production and labor utilization (5-S, safety improvements, safety work orders, lean initiatives)
- Supporting and enforceing work rules including safety, environmental, and housekeeping within the department as well as the overall plant.
Your profile - Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or operations-related field
- Experience in manufacturing environments, especially those in the transportation industry is helpful; experience as co-op or intern in
manufacturing role 4-6 years experience
- PC Skills are required; must be able to use typical Microsoft type programs including Word and Excel; in addition, must have the
ability to either be trained or have prior knowledge of attendance, time and payroll systems currently in use
- Knowledge of operational excellence and basic quality tools including pareto analysis, run charts, fishbone and 5-why analysis
- Ability to develop personnel and equipment structures to support present and future operations
- Ability to resolve employee issues balancing Company and employee position;
- Ability to proactively plan and schedule production to meet daily requirements; troubleshoot issues and eliminate barriers to
production; line balancing
- Must promote and actively engage in safe work environment; proactively identify and eliminate safety hazards; investigate
accidents and put corrective actions in place
- Ability to lead workforce, gain respect and proactively plan for issues / alternative methods necessary to meet customer demand
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
