Job Title: Merchandiser Location: Mumbai (Bhandra-Khar Link road) Position Type: Full-time Experience:- 4+ years

Job Summary : The Merchandiser plays a crucial role in the product management and sales process. They are responsible for planning, purchasing, and presenting products to maximize sales and profitability. This role involves a combination of analytical and creative skills to ensure the right products are available to meet customer demands. Key Responsibilities : Product Selection: Research, analyse market trends, and customer preferences to make informed decisions on product selection and assortment. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensure optimal stock levels, and monitor product turnover rates to minimize overstock or out-of-stock situations. Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with the pricing team to develop and adjust pricing strategies that align with market conditions and company goals. Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms to secure favorable pricing, terms, and product quality. Visual Merchandising: Create and maintain attractive in-store product displays and presentations to enhance the shopping experience and boost sales. Promotions and Marketing: Plan and execute promotional campaigns and marketing strategies to increase product visibility and drive sales. Sales Analysis: Analyze sales data and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for sales growth, and make data-driven decisions to improve product performance. Forecasting: Develop sales forecasts and demand plans to ensure adequate stock availability and to prevent stockouts. Quality Control: Monitor product quality and work with suppliers to resolve quality issues when they arise. Budget Management: Manage the merchandising budget, including product procurement, advertising, and promotional expenses. Competitor Analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends and competitive products, and make recommendations to stay competitive in the market. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising/Fashion Design/Fashion Business Proven experience in merchandising or related roles. Strong analytical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in using merchandising and inventory management software. Creative thinking and an eye for visual presentation. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel, if necessary. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends. A passion for retail and staying updated on industry trends.
