Responsibilities
Responsible for the proper performance of all aspects of Messaging and Collaboration in the client Environment, including scheduling, auditing, monitoring, job processing, output distribution, connectivity, configuration, documenting, enhancing, and improving (as appropriate).
Candidate shall perform Messaging and Collaboration Services with respect to Messaging and Collaboration technologies, as they may change, that include email, Domino server, (currently AIX and Windows and potentially Linux) Lotus Notes client, RightFax client, anti-spam, Sametime, Quickplace, Blackberry, and Linux/Unix based mail gateways (including the SMTP gateway, anti-spam, anti-virus, mail policy, and routing rules, antivirus, and mail rules for the gateways). In the event that one or more of these technologies are replaced, the Candidate shall perform the same or equivalent services for the new technology.
Messaging and Collaboration Services shall include configuration, maintenance, and administration of Messaging and Collaboration technologies, as they may change, that include Domino, iNotes, RightFax, QuickR, Sametime, Domino LDAP (in support of QuickR and Sametime),Blackberry, and Replic-Action servers and Software.
With respect to Domino applications Candidate shall promote such applications from development to test to production, including testing such applications prior to production release. Candidate shall, in conjunction with client, conduct code reviews, testing of applications, and integration testing prior to production release. Candidate shall also have responsibility for the integration, in conjunction with client Personnel, of such applications in the client Environment. Candidate shall, as appropriate, document the foregoing into Service Management Tool.
Candidate shall install, configure, and upgrade all Messaging and Collaboration server Software to ensure functionality in the client Environment in accordance with applicable specifications. (Some support, such as rebooting machines, installing and making changes at the O/S level, may be performed exclusively by other Resolver Groups.)
Candidate shall ensure Messaging and Collaboration server upgrades and applicable configuration Changes occur only during an approved client Maintenance Window and in accordance with client s Change Management Process. Changes impacting client business unit applications shall be communicated to appropriate client POCs.
Candidate shall provide Incident Management (including Restoration of service with respect to Incidents, as well as fulfillment of Service Requests) with respect to Messaging and Collaboration Services.
Candidate shall be responsible for Recovery and Restoration of lost or damaged data, as required to resolve Incidents or fulfill Service Requests or as otherwise requested by client (e.g., mail databases). We work with TMS Backup team in restoring the database from the Backup. This activity won t be part of Lotus domino team alone.
Candidate shall install, configure, upgrade, and maintain (as applicable) email policy tools (e.g. Policy Daemon, Postfix, RBL, SanityCheck, etc.) and anti-spam tools (e.g. SpamAssassin, Mailguard) on the SMTP routing and mail filtering servers, (i.e., Linux gateways, the current configuration being SuSE Enterprise Linux Server, Postfix, SMTP engine, Policy Daemon v, Razor, and SpamAssasin with custom rule sets, and ClamAV for Microsoft Windows virus protection).
Establish, maintain, and support the replication activities of the client Global Address Book with client Affiliates
Candidate shall work with third party Candidates to evaluate, configure, and support Software functionality.
