Job description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a skilled Backend Go Developer with experience in Java or Go to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to build robust APIs on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support our applications and services.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure APIs using Go programming language.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to define API requirements and specifications.
Implement best practices for code quality, maintainability, and test coverage.
Optimize API performance and scalability to handle large volumes of requests.
Ensure security and compliance standards are met in API design and implementation.
Troubleshoot and debug issues in API functionality, performance, and integration.
Document APIs, including usage guides and technical specifications.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in backend development, cloud computing, and distributed systems.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Go programming language, with hands-on experience in building backend services and APIs.
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
Experience with Java is a plus, but not required.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and Cloud SQL.
Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience in building RESTful APIs.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Backend developer with hands-on programming experience in Java / Golang
Strong fundamentals in computer programming, data structure & algorithms.
Strong understanding of databases, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5+ yrs of experience in backend development, preferably with a focus on building APIs and services.
Relevant certifications in Google Cloud Platform or backend development are a plus.
