About The Team

Swiss Re launched a new strategic reserving platform for its non-life business. Through this platform we support our reserving actuaries to set our quarterly best estimates on our insurance reserves to pay-out our future obligations. The entire solution is being built natively on Azure with the actuarial community owning the models in R. The usage of R in the platform is rather exceptional, integrating with other programming languages. We are passionate about technology and eager to learn on the go. We closely collaborate with other teams and colleagues around the globe to share knowledge and engineer simple yet effective solutions. Upskilling and continuous learning is natural part of our work with focus on maintain a flexible and collaborative working environment.

About You

We are seeking a skilled and experienced actuarial application engineer with a strong background applying R programming language. The ideal candidate will have a track record in the financial services field with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining models and analyses using R. This role requires an understanding of actuarial concepts, statistical methodologies and the ability to translate business requirements into effective, scalable solutions.
