1. Design Leadership: ◦ Provide creative direction and leadership to the design team. ◦ Conceptualize and develop innovative and trend-setting footwear designs. ◦ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and marketable product line. 2. Trend Research and Analysis: ◦ Stay abreast of current fashion trends, market demands, and consumer preferences in the footwear industry. ◦ Conduct research on materials, technologies, and design innovations to incorporate into footwear designs. 3. Design Development: ◦ Translate design concepts into detailed sketches, renderings, and technical drawings. ◦ Work closely with pattern makers and prototypers to bring designs to life. ◦ Oversee the entire design process from concept to final product. 4. Quality Assurance: ◦ Ensure that the finished products meet quality standards and specifications. ◦ Collaborate with production teams to address any design or manufacturing challenges. 5. Market and Competitor Analysis: ◦ Analyze competitor products and market trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement. ◦ Provide insights on pricing strategies and positioning in the market. 6. Communication and Collaboration: ◦ Effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to internal teams and external stakeholders. ◦ Collaborate with marketing, sales, and merchandising teams to align product designs with brand objectives.

Required Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, or a related field (NIFT/FDDI preferred)
