Role Overview: We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer for our esteemed client. In this role, you will integrate seamlessly with a progressive team dedicated to excellence in product development. Your mission will be to ensure the highest quality and innovation standards, working intimately with Product Design and Engineering teams to influence the products of tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities: Forge strong collaborations with the Product Design and Engineering teams to grasp product designs and methodologies, identify DFM/DFT enhancements, and provide insightful feedback to elevate product quality. Craft a robust manufacturing test strategy that is deeply rooted in an understanding of the product design and its functionalities and references comprehensive design specifications. Represent the Design Team in communications with the Contract Manufacturer, addressing any technical inquiries or issues as the primary point of contact. Author and refine test automation code, ensuring it is efficient, scalable, and adheres to our client's product standards and specifications. Qualifications: Skills & Experience: A solid grounding in product design cycles and hardware development. Acquaintance with product testing industry standards and specifications. Proficient in software development, particularly unit testing and lifecycle management. Proven proficiency in Python for product testing or test automation, underscored by a robust software development acumen. Experience in new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing, ideally familiarity with contract manufacturers and ODM/JDM suppliers. Education & Background: Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Science Engineering. 6 to 10 years of experience specializing in Product Design Validation and Test Automation, with demonstrated use of test frameworks and Python. Additional Requirements: The role necessitates proximity to the Contract Manufacturer's facility. Willingness to work across various time zones. The position is based in Chennai, India.Job tags
