Job description

Role Title: Hub Manager- Service amp; Maintenance

About Zypp: At Zypp Electric, we're on a Mission Zero Emission by accelerating the EV adoption in Last Mile and building a Sustainable Future while creating the Largest Electric Shared Mobility EV-as-a-Service Platform. Zypp is operating a fleet of 13k EVs and is planning to expand to 50k EVs this year. Series B funded company which is growing to be a unicorn.

Position Overview: As the Hub Manager for EV 2WFleet Service amp; Maintenance at Zypp Electric, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, service, and maintenance activities of our electric two-wheeler fleet hubs. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning and optimal performance of our electric vehicles and related facilities. This position requires technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for sustainable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Fleet Service Management:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive service and maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and availability of our electric two-wheeler fleet.
  • Establish service standards and operating procedures for routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Coordinate with technicians and service providers to ensure timely and efficient maintenance and repairs of electric vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of spare parts and consumables for maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain service standards and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the EV 2W fleet hubs, including vehicle charging and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes to optimize hub operations, minimize downtime, and improve productivity.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to a team of technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications or additional training are a plus.
  • Proven experience (6+ years) in fleet service and maintenance management, preferably with electric vehicles or two-wheelers.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electric vehicle systems, battery technology, and maintenance best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using fleet management software and systems for tracking and analyzing vehicle performance data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic startup environment and willingness to adapt to evolving industry trends
