Job description

Responsibilities:

Network Infrastructure Management:

• Assist in the design and implementation of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
• Participate in the configuration and maintenance of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

• Identify and resolve network-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and diagnose network problems.

Security Implementation:

• Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, attacks, and vulnerabilities.
• Stay informed about security trends and best practices to enhance the organization's network security posture.

Network Monitoring and Optimization:

• Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Optimize network configurations for improved performance and reliability.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Create documentation to assist in knowledge transfer and training for team members.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other IT professionals, including system administrators, to ensure seamless integration between network and system components.
• Communicate effectively with end-users to understand and address their network-related needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevant Certifications (Desirable):

• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
• CompTIA Network+
• Other industry-recognized certifications in networking.
• Knowledge and Skills:
• Proficiency in networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Basic understanding of security principles and best practices.

Technical Proficiency:

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.

Experience: 06-12 Months
