Job Title: Accountant Location: Chennai, India Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Chennai, India. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and a proven ability to utilize Tally software for financial recording and reporting. This role involves handling a variety of financial tasks to ensure the accurate and efficient management of the company's finances. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording all daily transactions in Tally software. Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring they comply with legal regulations. Monitor financial transactions and reports to identify any discrepancies or irregularities. Process invoices, bills, and payments, ensuring timely and accurate execution. Manage payroll functions, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting. Coordinate with other departments to collect financial data and ensure it is accurately represented in the company's records. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact the financial operations. Assist in financial audits by providing necessary information and documentation to auditors. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Working knowledge and experience with Tally software is essential. 1-3 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance, and financial reporting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and local languages. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
