Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and examinations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and manage treatment plans for patients with various medical conditions.
  • Prescribe and administer medications.
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and their families about their health conditions and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated care.
  • Keep accurate and updated medical records.
  • Stay updated with the latest medical research and developments.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Participate in continuous medical education and professional development activities.
  • Provide support and supervision to junior medical staff and trainees.
  • Participate in on-call duties and emergency medical care.
  • Engage in research and academic activities.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DNB in General Medicine.
  • Licensing and registration with the appropriate medical board.
  • Proven clinical experience in general medicine practice.
  • Sound knowledge of internal medicine and related sub-specialties.
  • Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practice.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
  • Continuous learning and professional development orientation.
  • Research experience and publications in medical journals (desirable).
  • Experience in teaching and training medical students and junior doctors (desirable).
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine and clinical best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
