to: Factory Manager
5.Location: Uluberia Greenfield Factory, Kolkata
6.Role Summary:As Head of HR of a greenfield factory of
ITC’s Personal Care Business being set up in Kolkata, to set the tone for ER and
HR at the factory to leverage the potential of human resources for higher
productivity, greater quality and cost consciousness and harmonious industrial
relations.
7.Principal
duties and responsibilities:
Project:
a.To anchor the design and roll-out of people
structure, HR systems and processes in the Unit
b.To anchor the sourcing, onboarding, training and
deployment of resources in the Unit
c.To anchor compensation design, benchmarking, and
roll-out for the unit employees
d.To prepare and condition the factory for
implementing new HR systems, including HRMS
Ongoing:
e.To anchor key HR processes such as: Statutory
Compliance, Workforce planning, Recruitment & Selection, Wage
Administration, Performance Management, HR Budget Management, Capability
Building & Development, Reports & Compliances, Employee Engagement,
Welfare & Communication, Employee Discipline, Exit Management, Contract
Labour Management
f.To ensure a gender diverse workforce and align
factory culture & systems to enable the same
g.To drive a performance-driven culture at the
unit for operational deliveries
h.To develop cordial harmonious industrial
relations for greater operational effectiveness, and drive change management
initiatives for driving business goals
i.To identify potential people related issues and
visualize alternate scenarios for those issues
j.To proactively and positively liaise with local statutory
and government authorities as well as environment and build stakeholder
relations, including driving CSR efforts in the area
k.To anchor OD interventions for managers in the
Unit
8.Role
Requirements:
a.Education/Qualification:
i.Professional
qualification (post-graduate) in Human Resources / Personnel Management /
Industrial Relations / Labour & Social Welfare from a recognized University
ii.Additionally, fulfilment of following
criteria for Welfare Officer in West Bengal is desirable:
1.Has
completed Labour Welfare Officer's Training Course of the Labour Department of
the Government of West Bengal is desirable
2.Has
qualified at a viva-voce test conducted by a Board constituted by the Labour
Department of the Government of West Bengal for the purpose
b.Experience:
i.5
to 6 years’ experience of handling HR/IR roles in manufacturing unit,
preferably FMCG
ii.Experience
of handling gender-diverse workforce will be preferable
iii.Experience
in the West Bengal /Eastern region will be preferable
c.Thorough knowledge of Bengali
